The most significant economic improvements during the 1980s and 1990s, however, were undoubtedly related to the economic redevelopment of Baltimore. The Charles Center development, the renewed Inner Harbor, the World Trade Center, the National Aquarium, and the new Baltimore Oriole Park at Camden Yards created a boom in retailing and hotels.
