Another brother was Peter Moran, 1841-1914, American landscape and animal painter and etcher. Good examples of his painting are Pasture Land; Santa Barbara Mission; Pueblo of Zia, New Mexico; The Stable Door; and Return of the Herd, awarded a medal at the Centennial Exposition (1876), where his etchings of animals were similarly honored.
