... mange , contagious skin disease of domestic and wild animals… Sarcoptic mange, also called scab or scabies, produces intense irritation. Treatment of infected animals consists of repeated dipping (see dip ) or spraying with insecticides. Secondary bacterial infections are treated with antibiotics.
